The Phu Dong High-Tech Zone is poised to become a new growth driver for Hanoi's northeastern region by embracing modern, high-tech, and sustainable development. This initiative will help expand the capital's industrial, service, and logistics sectors. According to the approved plan, the Phu Dong High-Tech Zone spans approximately 446.19 hectares, with 369.27 hectares designated for industrial use.
Phu Dong is envisioned as a modern and smart industrial center focusing on high-tech, ecology, and sustainability. It is designed not only to serve production and logistics but also to foster research and development, innovation, and entrepreneurship, thus becoming a new engine for growth in Hanoi's northeastern area.
Located in Phu Dong commune, the industrial zone is bordered by the Bac Ninh VSIP to the north, Highway 3 and Hanoi-Lang Son Expressway to the west, the Dong River dike to the east, and Phu Dong road and existing residential areas to the south. This strategic location places the project at the heart of a corridor connecting Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and production centers to the north, providing a clear advantage in regional connectivity.
A standout feature of the project is its transportation infrastructure. The plan indicates that the Co Loa - Gia Binh axis passes through the area with a length of about 3.8 km and a width of 120m, including an elevated main route and two parallel roads. The area also has direct access to the Hanoi - Lang Son Expressway, Provincial Road 179, Phu Dong 6-lane road, and the South Dong River 60m road. The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line runs through the area, parallel to the eastern ring road railway; the high-speed Hanoi - Quang Ninh railway line is also planned to pass through the zone.
